"Sweat In Peace So That You Don't Bleed In War "

Before we embark towards the crux of today's article let me at the outset ask each of you to imagine grand historical of map of India; Not the map which we are subjected to ascertain from the days of yoke of our childhood. Without grand historical map of India, on our mental horizon it would not be possible to realize the gravity of loss India has incurred in last 250 years. Test books do hold the map of India which is political and not historical map of India which is tangentially different from Historical map of India. If and when both of these maps are compared it is an evident fact that India's total land area is sinking. Historical area of India was 76, 00,000 {Seven Six Lack Square Kilometers}; present area of India is 3,287,263 lack square kilometers. We have already lost 43, 12,737 square kilometers.

Couple of days back during a general discussion one among the group commented “How does it matter to me if land is lost. I have my own problems to address!!! ". " If Bhagat Singh, RajGuru, Sukhdev and Capt. Vikram Batra had thought on the same lines as yours, then we would not be seeing same India as is seen now". Was my reproach to his comment?.(Many a times, it can or we should tolerate negative comments against us but not comments against Society, Country and Humanity).

Having been born in the same country as his, I see no consolable fact of reversion for missing his martyrdom day on July 7th. The Thursday which passed by us was the martyrdom day of Capt. Vikram Batra who fought to save each square inch of India.

On 01st June 1999, his unit proceeded to the Kargil Sector on eruption of a war - like situation in Kargil, Drass and Batalik sub-sectors to recapture the first peak of utmost importance - Point 5140, which was at an altitude of 17,000 feet. On reaching Point 5140 he encountered the commander of the Pakistani - backed terrorists on radio. Enemy commander challenged him by saying, “Why have you come Shershah { Vikram's Nick name given by his commanding officer}, you will not go back. " Captain Batra, replied, “We shall see within one hour, who remains on the top.” In a short while Captain Batra and his company of troops killed eight enemy soldiers and captured the advantageous peak - 5140 with large cache of arms and anti aircraft machine guns.

Once his company captured Point 5140, he radioed his commanding officer and said jubilantly, " Yeh Dil Mange More!". Re - capture of Point 5140 cleared the all important Srinagar - Led highway and set in motion the capturing of Point 5100, 4700 Junction, Three Pimples and the Tiger Hill.

After 4 to 5 days, he proceeded towards capturing Point 4750. He was once again challenged by an enemy who said, " Shershah, nobody shall be left to lift your dead bodies, " to which Captain Batra curtly replied, " Don't worry about us, Pray for your safety." He captured Point 4750 and hosted the national flag. He volunteered himself for a third crucial operation of recapturing Point 4875 which was at an altitude of 17, 000 feet and had a gradient of 80 degrees. After killing a number of enemy troops and re-captured the peak on 05 July 1999.

There was a counter attacked by the enemy on 07 July 1999, but he retaliated the counter attack with vigor and zeal. In the heat of the battle one of his junior officers, Lieutenant Naveen was seriously injured and he immediately went to his rescue. While dragging Lieutenant Naveen back under cover. Captain Batra told " Tu baal bachedaar hai! Hatt jaa peeche". {You have kids and a wife to look after! Get back). Batra was hit by a bullet in the chest. With the worlds Jai Mata Di on his lips, he feel down and was hit again in the waist by an artillery splinter.

He used to always say “Sweat in peace so that you don't bleed in war" and "I'll either come back after raising the Indian flag in victory or return wrapped in it ". He did raise the Indian flag in victory and also returned wrapped in it after succumbing to his grievous injuries and after killing another five enemy soldiers.

GET HOLD OF YOURSELF

We are all the time, form our childhood, trying to lay blame upon something outside ourselves. We are always standing up to set right other people, and not ourselves. If we are miserable, we say, "Oh, the world is a devil's world." We curse others and say, "What infatuated fools!" But why should we be in such a wor...ld, if we really are so good? If this is a devil's world, we must be devils also; why else should we be here? "Oh, the people of the world are so selfish!" True enough, but why should we be found in that company, if we be better? Just think of that.

We only get what we deserve. It is a lie when we say, the world, is bad and we are good. It can never be so. It is terrible lie we tell ourselves. This is the first lesson to learn: be determined not to curse anything outside, not to lay the blame upon any one outside, but be a man, stand up. Lay the blame on yourself. You will find, that is always true. GET HOLD OF YOURSELF.

Today is the martyr day of that great Capt. Vikram Batra whose most famous quotes was “Yeh Dil Maange More" and " Sweat in peace so that you don't bleed in war ". Once he said "I'll either come back after raising the Indian flag in victory or return wrapped in it”. He did raise the Indian flag of victory and return wrapped in it.

AN INDIAN WAS TO FIRST INVENT AND BUILD WORLD'S SUCCESSFUL AIRPLANE.

I get flabergasted when I see web site's and history books stating that Wright Brothers (August 19, 1871 – January 30, 1948) and Wilbur (April 16, 1867 – May 30, 1912) were two Americans who invented and build the world's first successful airplane. WRONG!!!

It's an INDIAN who was the first to invent and build the world's successful airplane. His name was ACHARYA BHARADWAJ. " PIONEER OF AVIATION TECHNOLOGY (800 BCE) "

Acharya Bharadwaj had a hermitage in the holy city of Prayag and was an ordent apostle of Ayurveda and mechanical sciences. He authored the "Yantra Sarvasva" which includes astonishing and outstanding discoveries in aviation science, space science and flying machines.

He has described three categories of flying machines:

1.) One that flies on earth from one place to another.
2.) One that travels from one planet to another.
3.) And One that travels from one universe to another.

His designs and descriptions have impressed and amazed aviation engineers of today. His brilliance in aviation technology is further reflected through techniques described by him:

1.Profound Secret: The technique to make a flying machine invisible through the application of sunlight and wind force.

2.Living Secret: The technique to make an invisible space machine visible through the application of electrical force.

3.Secret of Eavesdropping: The technique to listen to a conversation in another plane.

4.Visual Secrets: The technique to see what's happening inside another plane.

Through his innovative and brilliant discoveries, Acharya Bharadwaj has been recognized as the pioneer of aviation technology.

Who is the personality behind Rockefeller Foundation? It was started way back in May 14, 1913 at New York State with its central historical mission as “To promote the well – being of mankind throughout the world”! After reading the below transcript I would ask each of you to pose with ease and think where each of you stand at this mom...ent and try to ingrain the spirit of this personality, to achieve infinite goals and use it for the well fare of the world.

FIRST MEETING WITH JOHN D. ROCKEFELLER

(An excerpt from Madame Verdier’s journal quoted in the New Discoveries, Vol. 1, pp. 487-88.)

Mr. X, in whose home Swamiji was staying in Chicago, was a partner or an associate in some business with John D. Rockefeller. Many times John D. heard his friends talking about this extraordinary and wonderful Hindu monk who was staying with them, and many times he had been invited to meet Swamiji but, for one reason or another, always refused. At that time Rockefeller was not yet at the peak of his fortune, but was already powerful and strong-willed, very difficult to handle and a hard man to advise.

But one day, although he did not want to meet Swamiji, he was pushed to it by an impulse and went directly to the house of his friends, brushing aside the butler who opened the door and saying that he wanted to see the Hindu monk.

The butler ushered him into the living room, and, not waiting to be announced, Rockefeller entered into Swamiji's adjoining study and was much surprised, I presume, to see Swamiji behind his writing table not even lifting his eyes to see who had entered.

After a while, as with Calvé, Swamiji told Rockefeller much of his past that was not known to any but himself, and made him understand that the money he had already accumulated was not his, that he was only a channel and that his duty was to do good to the world — that God had given him all his wealth in order that he might have an opportunity to help and do good to people.

Rockefeller was annoyed that anyone dared to talk to him that way and tell him what to do. He left the room in irritation, not even saying goodbye. But about a week after, again without being announced, he entered Swamiji's study and, finding him the same as before, threw on his desk a paper which told of his plans to donate an enormous sum of money toward the financing of a public institution.

"Well, there you are", he said. "You must be satisfied now, and you can thank me for it."

Swamiji didn't even lift his eyes, did not move. Then taking the paper, he quietly read it, saying: "It is for you to thank me". That was all. This was Rockefeller's first large donation to the public welfare.
